COLA was represented by 15 swimmers at the District Swim Meet in Baton Rouge Louisiana the weekend of June 27th and 28th. Not only did the COLA Swimmers return with 97% best times, but they came back with a new State Qualifier and 3 wins. Congratulations to COLA Swimmer Mark Billeaud for his wins in the 100 Fly, 100 Back , and 50 back and his new State Qualifying time in the 50 back. He will join the COLA State Team in Baton Rouge the July 9th through 12th. Congratulations to all District Swimmers on a job well done!!!

COLA Alumni Swimmer, Andrew Reynolds, was selected to swim in the 2009 Maccabean Games to be held this summer in Israel. He will travel to Israel where he will spend around a month preparing and getting ready. He was one of 12 Jewish Men Selected from the United States to compete. Andrew is currently a member of the LSU swim team where he is a Junior and a member of the school record holding 800 freestyle relay. We are looking forward to hearing about Andrew's Journey and reporting his success!

The 2009 Championship Season is now underway. We kicked off with the District Meet on June 27th and 28th. It will be followed by the LA State Championship Meet on July 9th- 12th, 8 and Under Regional July 18th and 19th and finally the Speedo Sectional Meet at the end of July.

The Jennings Meet is coming up July 4th weekend! All swimmers will swim in the morning and be done around 1:00. Warm-ups are at 7:00 am. make sure you are on time. Click here for a map.
