COLA had eleven swimmers qualify to swim in the 2014 Speedo Sectional Championship Meet in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
COLA Alumni Meridith Boudreaux wins NCAA Division II Nationals in the mile. Meridith swims for the Queen's Royals. Way to go Meridith!

Seven COLA Swimmers were chosen to represent COLA in the 14 and under Mississippi/ Louisiana All Star Meet in Jackson, Mississippi. All Swimmers had great races and Louisiana won the meet! Congratulations to all!


State Meet was a huge success for COLA. We finished 6th overall while taking home the Spirit and Sportsmanship Award! We had four new SECTIONAL qualifiers and six swimmers make the Louisiana ALL-STAR Team that will compete in Jackson, MS March 22!

We had a terrific showing from our swimmers that attended the District meet in Baton Rouge! We had six swimmers qualify for the State meet and many others swam lifetime best times in numerous events.

Thanks to all for a great Season in the Southwest Louisiana Swim League. We concluded our League meets with the Top 24 Champs. The Ladies from Ascension took home the girls 1st place trophy with the Ladies of STM taking home the 2nd place trophy! On the Men's Side, Barbe took home the 1st place trophy followed by Sulphur in 2nd Place. Barbe also won the overall combined team trophy followed by Lafayette High School in 2nd Place.

The 5A District Championship is completed bringing the District Meets to a close. We are now ready for the Top 24 Championship on Saturday. Psych sheets with qualifiers as well as work assignments are posted on the championship page.
The 5A District Meet was exciting and close between several larger teams. In the end Barbe took home the 1st place girls trophy followed by Pineville and Sulphur took home the boys 1st place trophy followed by Barbe. Barbe also won the overall with Sulphur coming in as the runner up!

The 3A, 4A Meet went very well with over 15 teams competing.
On the 3A side we had Notre Dame take home the Girls 1st place trophy with St. Louis Girls coming in 2nd. 3A Boys winner was St. Louis with Morgan CIty bringing home the Runner Up Trophy. St. Louis also won the Combined Overall 1st place trophy for 3A with Notre Dame taking the Runner Up.
On the 4A side we had the Girls of STM coming in 1st with Sam Houston's girls taking home the Runner Up. The men of Sam Houston took home the Boys 4A 1st place trophy with the men of Tioga taking the Runner Up. STM also won the overall combined 3A Title followed by Sam Houston!

We are proud to announce COLA Senior Bryce Davidson has committed to NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Bryce will be an NSU Shark in the Fall of 2014!

The Saturday September 14th High School Meet was a big one! We had a lot of out of towns teams come in and it proved to be a fast and a close meet! We want to thank all of the teams who were there for keeping the enthusiasm and excitement going through out this 248 swimmer meet! Congratulations to COLA Swimmer Taylor Viator for finishing Top 3 in both of her races with a 2nd place in the 500 free and a 3rd in the 200 IM. Lafayette High won overall. Alexandria Senior High was first on the girls side and Barbe prevailed over Sulphur and Lafayette High for the win on the boys side with only one point separating 1st and 3rd!

The first high school meet of the 2013 Southwest Acadiana Swim League Season was held September 10th. Thanks to all who came out for making it a great first meet. COLA is proud to send 12 swimmers to the Speedo Sectional Swim Team in Orlando, Florida. These swimmers will compete over 5 days in Orlando representing COLA at this National Level Meet.


We had a great meet with a 6th place overall finish! We also were runner up for the Spirit and Sportsmanship Award. Congratulations to Louisiana's 15-16 High Point Winner - Victoria Barczyk! Also congratulations to Miguel Vazquez and Katie Castille for being selected to the Louisiana Zone Team!
It was a great meet and we want to thank all of our swimmers and parents for making it a great weekend! Go COLA!

COLA is proud of our swimmers who competed in the District Championship this weekend. We had 90% best times and saw some new and up and coming swimmers really step up for some great races! Special COngratulations to Jacob Miller, Rachel Townsden, Colby Deville, and Oliva Harding for winning events--which adds them to our State Team. Also, huge congratulations to Hannah Richard for being the swimmerto drop the most time this weekend. Hannah dropped over 60 seconds in all of her events combined!!!!

Meridith Boudreaux was recently recognized at the Lafayette Public School System 15th Annual Sports Banquet for her All State Achievement. She was one of three seniors recognized for receiving this award all four years of high school. Congratulations Meridith!

COLA Mighty Little Armadillos Rock at 8 and Under Championship Meet
COLA had 16 Swimmers travel to New Orleans for the 2012 8 and Under Championship Meet. Not only did we have a blast we had 98% best times! Amazing!!! Congratulations to COLA Swimmers on a Fantastic State Meet! COLA had over 35 swimmers travel to Sulphur to compete in the Louisiana State Championship Meet. Congratulations to Andre Trahan! Recent COLA graduate Andre Trahan competed in his first collegiate meet representing Centenary College of Louisiana. Centenary swam against Stanford University right here in Lafayette! Several COLA swimmers and parents were in attendance to cheer him on. Way to go Andre!
COLA recently ran a Special Olympics Meet here in Lafayette at the Earl J. Chris Pool. We would like to congratulate all athletes and coaches on a job well done! Congratulations to Liz Billeaud at Junior Nationals! Liz traveled to Palo Alto California where she competed in both the 100 and 200 fly at the United States Swimming Junior National Meet. We are very proud of Liz as she represents COLA on the National Level! Way to go Liz!
COLA Sectional Swimmers step up for an amazing meet!!!!COLA Swimmers, Michelle Billeaud, Liz Billeaud, Meridith Boudreaux, Hannah Boudreaux, Jeanne Miller, Jessica Miller, and Gabe Williams qualified for the 2011 Long Course Speedo Sectional Meet. This is a National Meet Sponsored by USA Swimming and Speedo. The seven COLA Swimmers traveled to Houston, Texas to compete in the Sectional Meet where they all swam great! COLA finished 24th out of over 60 teams!

Congratulations to the Victoria Barczyk, Zeke Basco, Andrew Larimer, and Lee Sammons who were selected to the 2010 Louisiana Zone Team. They traveled to to Raleigh, North Carolina where they spent a week representing Louisiana at the 2011 Southern Zone Championships with 48 other swimmers from our State. The team finished 10th overall and our swimmers did a great job!

Congratulations to the 2011 Long Course State Team on an 8th place finish at this year's Long Course State Meet. COLA Swimmers had an incredible meet- stepping up with some great swims and great racing. Not only did we swim fast but we had a ton of fun with Monkeys; and Godzilla, and King Kong! The weekend was full of surprises! A big thank you to all of our parents for all of their help at the meet, especially with timing and meals.

We would like to congratulate our 2011 District Team on a job well done! COLA sent over 30 swimmers to the District Meet in Baton Rouge and we had great results! Special Congratulations to Event Winners and New State Qualifiers: Taylor Viator, Andre Trahan, and Callie Landry, Anna Clair Briggs, and Madison Viator. ! These Swimmers will now join our State Team in New Orleans for the State Championships! Once again congratulations to all swimmers who participated on a job well done!

July 8th is Cow Appreciation Day at Chic-fil-A. Several COLA Swimmers dressed as cows to go to Chic-fil-A after morning workout for breakfast and get free chicken!!!! Congratulations to Zeke and Bella for the coolest Cow Costumes!
COLA's Senior Team headed to UNO for the Nu Wave Summer Invite where swimmers stepped up for a great meet all around! We saw some great races as swimmers get ready for the state competition coming up! We had several swimmers pick up new qualifying times and most importantly our senior team had a terrific time together at the meet!
The following weekend COLA swimmers attended the TAQ meet where our younger swimmers stepped up for a great meet! We had several swimmers step up for new and longer races and we saw dramatic time drops and improvements in times and in our racing skills!!

All of our Senior Swimmers who attended this years annual training trip deserve a huge JOB WELL DONE!!! Each year COLA's Senior Group travels to Gulf Shores over the Memorial Day Weekend for a Training Trip filled with dry land and beach work outs, pool work outs, fun on the beach and more! This year 23 Senior group Swimmers went on the trip! We are proud to say that they all worked hard and had a great time! Thanks to each and everyone of them for a great weekend!!!!!

Congratulations to all COLA Swimmers on a Job Well Done!!!!Despite a lot of sickness before and going into the meet we had a terrific meet. The team finished 8th overall with our girl team placing 3rd. We had 38 individual qualifiers and 12 relay only swimmers for a team of around 50 swimmers competing. COLA came away with over 26 swimmers making it to finals, numerous top 3, Top 8 and Top 16 finishes, and 3 State Champions (Ryan Duplantis in one event and Meridith Boudreuax and Liz Billeaud- each in three events!).
To top off our successful weekend COLA was awarded the honor of the Spirit and Sportsmanship Award for the 2011 Short Course Sate Meet. This is one of the things we are most proud of! Thanks to all of our parents, swimmers, and fans for stepping up and showing your COLA Spirits and for your sportsmanship in the pool and around the deck! We were really able to COME TOGETHER as a team at this meet! Thanks again to all parents and swimmers, especially to Mr. Gary Boudreuax for helping us all "Catch the COLA Fever!!!!!"

COLA had 8 swimmers qualify to attend the 2010 Speedo Sectional Meet in Houston Texas this week.
April Aguillard, Michelle Billeaud, Liz Billeaud, Silas Dejeane, Meridith Boudreaux, Hannah Boudreuax, Jeanne Miller,and Jessica Miller will be representing COLA a the competition this week. The team started of the meet with a bang with best times and great racing on Wednesday at the meet. Kudos to Meridith Boudreaux for two best times and a 16th place finish in the 800 free! Liz Billeaud stepped up for two finals swims in Butterfly. She placed in the top 16 in the 200 fly and the top 24 in the 100 fly. Also congratualtions to Jeanne Miller for her top 32 200 fly finish!!! Way to go COLA Sectional Swimmers!!!!

COLA recently traveled to New Orleans with over 35 swimmers to compete in the Louisiana State Championships with over 500 swimmers and 22 other teams. Cola had an unbelievable State Meet with an 8th place overall finish scoring over 1600 points. COLA came home with 5 State Champions who won 11 events between them, over 35 Top 8 finishes, over 45 top 16 finishes, a High Point 2nd Runners Up, High POint Runner Up, and a High Point Winner! Relay team members Michelle Billeaud, April Aguillard, Liz Billeaud, and Meridith Boudreaux also came home as Sate Champions with wins in both the 200 and 400 Medley Relay. All of our swimmers stepped up for a great meet with spirit, enthusiasm, and a ton of best times swum! Congratulations to all COLA Swimmers on a job well done!
