City of Lafayette Aquatics goal for our swimming lessons program is to teach basic swimming skills to children from 2 1/2 years to 15 years of age.  We use a progressive teaching format set in a motivational and enjoyable setting. Your swimmer will not only be learning to swim, but they will be having fun. Our priorities in the lessons program are beginning water safety, respect for the water, and FUN!

 Every child should know how to swim... Swimming is a lifetime sport!

Our lessons will be run through Swim America which is a national learn-to-swim program operated by the American Swimming Coaches Association. Swim America has over 500 Program Directors at over 900 sites across the USA. It is the state of the art learn-to-swim program in the world today. Through Swim American we will not just be teaching lessons, we will teach swimmers how to swim!

It is our goal for your swimmer to be water safe. That goal won't be quickly achieved. It takes time. But it can save your child's life. That's worth the investment of time. After all, learning to swim is a LIFETIME GIFT.
